When a request
for specific survey services is received by our office, it is
evaluated by management to decide the best and most efficient methods
to achieve the desired data development for clients. Schedules are
evaluated and responsibilities are assigned to the appropriate
personnel for individual projects. Personnel assigned to the project
are responsible for evaluation of their tasks to conform to a
specific plan of quality control in order to achieve a timely
completion of the project.
EMC has enough
workstations in-house to proceed with mapping several jobs at once.
Edited xyz attribute files of the field data are transferred to DGN,
DWG, DXF or other required file types. EMC assigned attributes place
the data at its proper level, color, weight, and cell type, making
the data convenient and easily mapped. Lines or baselines,
topographic edges, and break lines for contouring are automatically
drawn and placed by these methods, requiring minimum time and maximum
efficiency to complete mapping projects. A project is created using
InRoads software. An alignment file (ALG) is generated from the
baseline or centerline with a traverse report. Then using data points
and break lines a DTM (Digital Terrain Model) or TIN (where
specified) is generated allowing the display of contours. Cross
sections and profiles can then be extracted from these models in the
user-specified locations or automatically generated along a baseline
at specific intervals. This system provides our clients a very
interactive environment. All projects are monitored from initial
stages to finished products for integrity of data and quality of
product, and timely completion of work by one of our professional
surveyors.
